DAYTON, Ohio โ It feels weird to call a 31-1 Menโs Basketball team an underdog, but that was the case on Wednesday night for Miami (OH) against SMU.
Nobody told the Redhawks.
After Prairie View A&M shook off a sluggish first half to beat Lehigh, setting up a matchup with 1-seed Florida on Friday, the stage was set for the Redhawks and Mustangs.
Miami (OH), 31-0 in the regular season but barely in the NCAA tournament, against an SMU team that snuck into the field itself.
The Redhawks had something to prove, an emphatic win against the Mustangs in front of a pro-Miami (OH) crowd in Dayton.
