GLENDALE, AZ – The Seattle Seahawks dominated early but needed a game-winning field goal as time expired to defeat the Arizona Cardinals, 23-20, on Thursday night at State Farm Stadium.
The Seahawks led 17-3 early in the second half before the Cardinals raced back with 14 unanswered fourth quarter points to tie the score at 20 with 28 seconds to play.
But Seattle was able to push into field goal range on the ensuing possession, and Jason Myers connected on a 52-yard field goal as the final seconds ticked off to push the Seahawks to 3-1 on the season.
Kevin Kugler and Ryan Harris called the action on Westwood One Sports.
A strong first half performance for the Seahawks, highlighted by a pair of touchdowns.
The first, from Sam Darnold to AJ Barner, gave #GoHawks a 7-3 lead. It's 14-3 at the half in Glendale.
